In 1999, while on a trip to the island of Mauritius, Jean-Marie Greyl became intrigued by the hydrating and conditioning properties of orchids, a flower not commonly used in cosmetics at the time. Always the pioneer, Jean-Marie combined orchid extracts and botanical oils in a mask capable of softening and taming the driest, most unruly hair. Masque à l’Orchidée became the perfect hair mask for thick hair, frizzy manes, and natural curly tresses.
